Product Description
Cubetto is a friendly wooden robot that introduces programming to children from the age of 3.
Cubetto introduces programming to children from early years up to Key Stage 1 and beyond through adventure, story-telling and hands-on play!
Programming Without the Screen: Through hands-on block manipulation, children create and debug simple programs with their hands. Programming is done by placing colourful blocks on the control board to determine Cubettos route, developing a coding language children can touch and manipulate.
Beyond Computing: Cubettos has endless cross-curricular potential, from helping to develop literacy to learning about history and geography with a wide variety of maps and stories! Children learn how to spot patterns and solve challenges like addition and subtraction, doubling and halving. With Cubetto, you can even introduce basic algebra using the function tiles; all to aid problem solving ability.
Keep Children Involved and Focused: Cubetto nurtures the social emotional development of children as they engage with various stories and narratives. The use of a robot in the classroom keeps children focused and helps them to build a relationship with Cubetto, as well as collaboration with peers, understanding the needs of others.
Ready to Teach: Comprehensive Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 lesson plans and schemes of work available to download for free, ensuring Cubettos transition into your classroom is hassle-free, and children can get the most out of learning with Cubetto.
Programming for All: Cubetto allows pupils of all abilities to be brought into the world of computing and programming, with differentiation possible. A wide range of research has shown that Cubetto is particularly useful in the teaching of children with SEND, ASD and those with a visual impairment.
